Care & Assembly Guides

CARE & ASSEMBLY GUIDES

Two minutes of care, hardware that lasts

Quick instructions for mounting and looking after NAMII furniture legs, knobs, handles and wall hooks.

Furniture legs

M8 bolt mounting

  1. Screw the M8 bolt into the threaded insert at the top of the leg.
  2. Fit the plastic washer onto the bolt, resting against the top of the leg — it protects the furniture surface and helps the leg sit flush.
  3. Hold the leg in place and turn the bolt into the pre-drilled hole or threaded insert in the furniture base until it sits firmly.

Mounting plate

  1. Fix the mounting plate to the underside of the furniture with the four wood screws included — the surface needs to be flat for the plate to sit properly.
  2. Turn the M8 bolt into the plate's centre hole until it presses firmly against the furniture.
  3. Screw the leg onto the bolt's protruding end and tighten until secure.

Care

  • Wipe clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth — avoid abrasive cleaners.
  • Wooden legs can be treated once a year with a natural oil or wax to keep their colour.
  • Protect painted or metal legs from sudden knocks, which can chip the finish.
  • Lift furniture when moving it rather than dragging it, to keep the legs from working loose.
Knobs

Assembly

  1. Mark the screw hole on the door or drawer front.
  2. Push the screw through from the inside and thread it into the base of the knob.
  3. Tighten evenly with a screwdriver so the knob sits flush and doesn't spin.
  4. Gently pull the knob in different directions to check it's secure.

Care

  • Wipe with a soft cloth — slightly damp if needed, then dry.
  • Avoid chemical cleaners on painted or brass finishes, as they can alter the colour.
  • Check the screw periodically, especially on knobs used often.
Handles

Assembly

  1. Measure the distance between the two screw holes (centre to centre) on the door or drawer front.
  2. Push both screws through from the inside.
  3. Thread the screws into the handle evenly on both ends, so it sits level.
  4. Tighten fully and check the handle doesn't twist or wobble.

Care

  • Clean with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth.
  • Avoid abrasive or chemical cleaners on painted, brass or wooden finishes.
  • Check the screws from time to time — frequently used handles can loosen.
Wall hooks

Assembly

  1. Choose a mounting spot and mark the hole centre on the wall with a pencil.
  2. Drill a hole to match the wall plug included with the hook.
  3. Push the plug into the hole until it sits flush with the wall.
  4. Screw into the plug and tighten the hook firmly.
  5. Gently pull the hook downward to check it holds securely.

Care

  • The included plug is suited to concrete or brick walls — for plasterboard walls, we recommend a plug designed for that material instead.
  • Wipe clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth.
  • Don't exceed the hook's stated maximum load.
  • For heavier items, check the screw and plug periodically to make sure they're still tight.
